Dwight A. Scribner, 81, Retired City of Wichita Inspector and Owner of D/R Concrete Cutting, died Saturday, July 29, 2023. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Friday, August 4, 2023; Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, August 5, 2023, both at St. Jude Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Virgie Scribner; sister, Wanda (Atlas) Turner. Survived by his wife, Rita Scribner; daughter, Teresa (Eddie) Gerlach of Derby, KS; son, Mark (Virginia) Scribner of Goddard, KS; grandchildren, Elise Gerlach, Kade Gerlach, Derek Scribner, Allison Banks, Kara Scribner, Luke Scribner. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Lord’s Diner, 520 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67214. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

I have known Dwight since high school and Bruce has known him since we married. Rita and Dwight have been good friends with us ever since. We will miss Dwight as will many others .
