Edward P. Rogers
Rogers, Edward P., 88, founder of Rogers Insurance Agency in 1956, died Saturday, November 18, 2006. Service 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Downing and Lahey Mortuary East. Ed was a former member of the Kansas State House of Representatives and was a member of the Midian Shrine. He was involved with numerous singing groups and loved to ballroom dance. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, John (Carla) Rogers and James (Becky) Rogers, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Angie McLeod, Megan Turpin, Kara, Rob and Rachelle Rogers, and 3 great grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 and the Midian Shrine Temple, 130 N. Topeka, Wichita, KS 67202.
