It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Ethan Daniel Sproul in Wichita, Kansas. Ethan was born September 18, 2001, to father Michael Sproul and mother Yvonne Murphy (Engelbrecht). He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend.
Ethan grew up in Andale, Kansas and he made many lasting memories for family and friends at the family farm or social events. He had a passion for gaming, grilling, enjoyed intellectual conversations and playing with his nieces and nephews. He is remembered for his humor, hard headedness and determination which first appeared in the form of temper tantrums on the childhood soccer field. He is survived by his mother (Vonnie), father (Michael), stepfather (Michael), siblings, Nicole (Shane) Yates, Michael Jr., Brie, Quinn and Jeremy, nieces, nephews and grandmother. He joins the beloved family dog Holly, his grandfather Gerald D. Englebrecht, grandfather Michael R. Sproul, and grandmother Barbara E. Sproul-Coleman. He will Live on in his family’s memory as the little boy in the giraffe costume and the protective little brother.
Services will take place at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 318 Rush Avenue, Andale, Kansas 67001, Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10:30 am with Rosary beginning at 10:00 am.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 North Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67219 or the Sedgwick County Zoo (for the benefit of the primate section) 5555 West Zoo Blvd., Wichita, Kansas 67212.

Hanky, my friend and brother, my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I remember meeting E for the 1st time 9-10 years ago at Twin Peaks watching football. Spent many Mondays with you at Duds and you would take half your pie home to E. Great kid and top notch young man.
