Meier, Genevieve “Genny”, 68, former Porta-medic office manager, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005. Service, 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 23, 2005, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by husband, Elmer James Meier; son, Randall Qualls; granddaughter, Christy Qualls; brother, Lewis Rice; sisters, Mavis Rice and Norma Johnson. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, James and Jane Meier of Wichita; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ben Hagan of Topeka; sister, Violet Anderson of Galena; grandchildren, Jessica, Alec, Madeline, and Blake Meier, Rachel and Amy Hagan. Memorial established with Clearwater Retirement Community - The Manor, 620 Wood, Clearwater, KS 67026.

Kathy, Jamie, Family, & Friends of Genny Meier, I am so sorry for the loss of Genny. She holds a special place in my heart. Genny was a pleasure to be around and always made everyone feel both welcomed and at home with her generositiy. I am blessed to call both Genny and Elmer ‘Jim’ freinds of mine. She will be missed. It is comforting to know that she will be reunited with Jim in Heaven. God Bless and your thoughts and prayers are with me.
I began working with Genny at Portamedic in 1977, following her with every office move, leaving Portamedic, and opening the EMSI office, where I am still working. Genny was a wonderful person to work with. I know you have wonderful memories of her. She loved her family deeply and was so proud of all of you. She will be missed.
Sorry for your loss. In all the years I worked with Porta-Medic, always found Genny cheerful, efficient and helpful. She was a joy to work with!
