Grier Jr. James R.
Grier, James R., Jr., 87, retired construction executive with 20 years at A.W. Soderberg Construction and 25 years at Eby Construction, died Thursday, May 25, 2006. Memorial service 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 27, First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in the parlor at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Survivors: wife, Jean; children, James R. Grier, III (Carolyn), Kathy Clark (Bruce), Chuck Grier (Susan) all of Wichita and Chris Grier (Amanda) of Scottsdale, AZ; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with First United Methodist Church T.V. Ministry, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
The family will receive friends in the parlor at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Just became aware of Jim’s passing! Shocked and saddened!! Though not personal friends, he was greatly admired and respected Jim as a person and as a competitor. He represented Skill Responsibility and Integrity.
To The Grier Family, We are so sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. Regretfully, we will be out of town this weekend but please know we will be with you in thought and prayer. Your family has always been so special to us and we are so grateful for the friendship you have extended to us through the years. May you be comforted by God’s love and His abundance of blessings.
