Celebrating the life of Harry Patrick “Pat” Pritchard, who was born on April 22, 1941, in Ottawa, Kansas. Pat passed away surrounded by the love of his family on October 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, wisdom, loyalty, and unwavering support that was evident in his constant presence and devotion to those he loved.

Pat graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1959, where his passions included basketball and participating in school plays. His commitment to service was demonstrated through his honorable tenure in the United States Air Force. He was relieved from active duty on February 1, 1964, and transferred to the Air Force Reserve. During his military service, he was stationed at RAF Bentwaters in England in 1963, where he formed lasting friendships and cherished opportunities to travel throughout Europe.

Following his military service, Pat attended Wichita State University College of Education, earning a bachelor’s degree, and later earned a master’s degree in counseling from Emporia State University. He discovered his true calling in employment training and counseling, dedicating forty years to the Kansas Department of Labor, where he served as Job Service Director before retiring.

Pat was an avid reader and found joy in writing poetry, stories, and drafting ideas for future books. An enthusiastic fan of the Kansas State Wildcats and the Kansas City Chiefs, he never missed a chance to root for his teams. Beyond sports, his greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. His presence at their games, performances, and school activities provided encouragement, support, and celebration of their many milestones.

Above all, Pat was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life was richly shared with his beloved wife, Vicki Lou Pritchard. Together they built a life centered on family and made their home in Topeka, where they raised their children.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Vicki; and his brother, Michael Jon Pritchard. He leaves behind his loving children, James Fulks, Cody (Jennifer) Fulks, both of Topeka, Kansas, and Molly McNall of Rose Hill, Kansas; grandchildren, Gentry Fulks, Alie Fulks, and Larkin McNall; and great-granddaughter, Paiden Fulks.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary in Wichita.

Memorials have been established with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Gary Sinise Foundation for Wounded Heroes. Contributions in his memory may be made to these organizations in honor of Pat’s enduring spirit of generosity, service, and support for others.

Pat’s memory will forever resonate with those who knew and loved him, a testament to a life well lived and deeply cherished.
