Helen A. Brecheisen
Brecheisen, Helen A., 94, life-long resident of Wichtia, died Monday, May 16, 2005. Reception with the family 10:00 A.M., Thursday at Larksfield Place. Memorial service 12:00 P.M., Thursday, Wichita Park Cemetery. Helen married Oral Fred Pfanschmidt, January 27, 1933. He passed away in 1962. She married Charles Brecheisen November 3, 1971. Mr. Brecheisen passed away in 1993. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Joyce Pfanschmidt of Chesapeake Beach, MD; step-sons, Charles Brecheisen of Holly Lake Ranch, TX and Robert Brecheisen of K.C., KS; granddaughters, Debra Bressler, Kris Grundler and Kathy Brecheisen; six great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with First United Methodist Church T.V. Ministry, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

Bob, Sonny & Phil–We extend our sympathy to you & your families in this time of sorrow. Aunt Helen lived a full life and a good life for such a long time. My best memories of her were at my mother’s Thanksgiving dinners. She was always there & glad to see everyone & catch up on the family news. Those dinners were really Brecheisen reunions and you had a chance to stay in touch with family. She loved all the children & what they were doing & we always heard about her granddaughters & even the great-granddaughters. She really had a great love of family. We’re more scattered now –even in my own family (I have one daughter, Laura, & her husband David in New Jersey, Anne & Tim live here & Amy, is in Manhattan, KS) but we are here if you need us. Craig & I are still in Overland Park, KS–since 1975 (Where has the time gone??) I wish we could attend the service, but we are going out of town on Friday & must get ready. Amy might possibly come as she has a college friend that works in Wichita & her Grandma Buller lives there too. We’ll be thinking of you on Thursday.
