James is preceded in death by his parents, William and Tessie Wheeler; brothers, Johny Wheeler, Frank Wheeler, and David Wheeler. He is survived by his sons, James Cary Wheeler, and his wife Becky, Kenneth Wheeler, and his wife Melinda; daughter, Kelley Anne (Wheeler) Sowell and her husband, Kelly L.; grandchildren, John, Marie, Matt, Ryan, Hayley, Katie, Sean, Alyssa, Brianna, Tyler; eight great grandchildren; and cherished lifelong partner, Elena Ingle.
A memorial has been established with: Derby Radio Control Club, 12621 SW 160th Street, Rose Hill, KS 67133, and the Wichita Radio Control Club, Ryan Jones, ATTN: WRCC, 2035 N. Ruger Circle, Andover, KS 67002.
