Janice Stacy Orlando

Janice Stacy Orlando, 84, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Janice was born on July 2, 1940, in Bay Shore, New York to Michael and Edith Muller. Wife of Daniel Orlando, Jr., and loving mother of Daniel, III (wife, Jennifer), and Michelle McGuire (husband, Scott). Sister of the late Marilyn Passannante. Grandmother of Nicholas and Allison Orlando, Emily and Jack McGuire. Janice was a 1962 graduate of the State University of New York College at Brockport and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. She graduated high school at the Academy of St. Joseph in Brentwood in 1958. She was a beloved Kindergarten teacher for over 30 years and made a difference in countless number of children's lives. She loved her family, loved reading her books and loved all of her animals, including Penny, Sunday, Mousetrap, Tuxedo and Holly. She will be deeply missed and always in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, December 12, 2024, at St. James Episcopal Church. A memorial has been established with: St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
