HEEB, Joan Rebecca Brodie, 77, Loving Mother, Grandmother, sister and friend passed away Saturday, September 3, 2005 after a long illness. Joan was the daughter of John and Goldie Brodie of Sioux City, IA. She was born October 7, 1927 in Des Moines, IA and raised in Sioux City, IA. After Graduation from Sioux City Central in 1946 and attending Morningside College in Sioux City, she married Joseph A. Heeb of Sioux City, IA. Mass of the Christian Burial, 11 A.M., Wednesday, September 7, 2005. Rosary 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 6, 2005, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law, Susie(Johnny) Tarrant of Wichita; Julie(John) Mills of Overland Park, KS; Sisters, Luella Coppersmith of Omaha, NE and Phyllis Holzrichter of Sioux City, IA; a grandson, JJ Tarrant of Wichita, KS and nieces nephews.. Also survived by her beloved pet, Buffalo Bill. Preceded in death by husband Joseph A., parents, John Goldie Brodie and brother James Brodie. Memorial donations may be made to Kansas Humane Society, 4218 Southeast Boulevard, Wichita 67210 or Catholic Charities/Hurricane Katrina Relief fund, 437 N. Topeka, Wichita 67202.
Rosary will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 6, 2005 with the Mass of The Christian Burial 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2005 both at St. francis of Assisi Catholic Church
