Judith Carol Nelson

Judith Carol Nelson, 85, loving wife, mother, sister and friend, died Wednesday, May 13, 2026. She retired after 40 years as a pastoral/administrative assistant for St. John’s Episcopal Church, where she was a longtime member. Judith was also active in the Wichita Welcome Club and her bridge club.

Memorial Service will be held at a later date at St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents, William “Mac” Alva and Bessie Bernetta McGilliard; brother, Nick A. McGilliard; sisters, Janet Bullard, and Glorianne Chapman. She is survived by her husband, Bobby “Bob” James Nelson; and daughter, Dawn Nelson both of Wichita, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: St. John’s Episcopal Church- General Fund, 402 N. Topeka Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67202.
