Leyton Grace Pello, 10 months old, cherished daughter, was called home to the Lord on May 2, 2026.

Leyton was born on June 18, 2025. In the time she had, Leyton spread smiles and happiness with everyone she met.

Leyton’s journey ended at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City where she spent months of her life overcoming two different open heart surgeries and several other procedures and operations that allowed her to enjoy the ten months she had. She loved interacting with all her doctors, nurses and caregivers, even when they had to check her vitals or give her medicine. At home Leyton loved going on walks to watch airplanes with her mom and dad, being read to, and rolling anywhere her body could go. She loved watching the movie Cars, and playing peekaboo with everyone she crossed paths with. To know Leyton was to love her. She made such an impact on everyone she interacted with and will be deeply missed by all those who had the chance to get to know her beautiful soul. Her spirit lives on through those she influenced and her memory will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of laughs, growls, and chunky rolls.

Leyton is survived by her mother and father, Kaleigh Rayne and Matthew Erich Pello of Benton, KS.

Rosary will be at 6:30 pm, Friday, May 8, 2026; Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 9, 2026, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
