Lyttle Ruth K.

Lyttle, Ruth Vera (Kistler), died Sunday, March 6, 2005. Ruth was born March 1, 1907 in rural Kingman, Kansas. Her parents were A. E. and Lena Kistler. After graduating from KSU, she married Warren P. Lyttle of Council Grove, KS in 1935, and moved to Wichita, KS in 1940, where they spent their lifetime. Three daughters, Joan, Janet and Jane, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive. Ruth centered her life around her home and family activities and will be known as a life-long Kansas lady, a teacher dedicated to education and research, an avid KSU Purple Pride fan, a wife, mom and grandma and great-grandma. Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Downing Lahey East. A memorial has been established with Kansas State University, Ruth Lyttle Fund and Schowalter Villa, in Hesston, KS.
