Mahala Woodward, 82, beloved wife and mother, died peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2026; Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2026, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wichita.
Mahala loved gardening; board games; family dinners; annual family vacations; train travel; gatherings with her long-time friends; Ricky Nelson; Roy Rogers; Rockaway Beach in Missouri; Christmastime; rainstorms; cats & animals; and eating out (especially prime rib with Dad).
Preceded in death by her husband, Patrick C. Woodward; mother Tina Stewart; father Fred Stewart; and sister, Sally Hall.
Survived by her daughter, Anne, and sons Ted, Andy, and Ned Woodward; and grandchildren Mitchell, Logan, Evan, Brenna, Audrey, and Mara Woodward.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
