Marie Theresa Cappa, 69, United States Postal Worker, died Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Visitation will be at 12:00pm; Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm, Friday, May 1, 2026, located at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary.

Marie was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 22, 1956, to James Anderson and Elaine Shine. Marie graduated from Dorchester High and later went on to work for the United States Postal Service for 28 years before retiring. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved to brag about and would often visit Brockton, MA and Fort Wayne, IN to be with them.

Preceded in death by her husband, Howard Everett Jennison; father, James Anderson, Sr; mother, Elaine Shine; and brother, Joe Anderson.

Survived by her sons, Shaun (Adrienne Adams) Cappa and Stephen Jennison; daughter, Caitlyn Jennison; brothers, James Anderson and Thomas Anderson; sisters, Carol (Buddy) Dobbs and Lynn (Eric) Pepples.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society, 236 S. Topeka St, Wichita, KS 67202.

  4. Marie was.my sister in law. She made my older brother chuckie the happiness man on earth. And gave him 3 amazing children
    I just wist we got to know each other a.little better. But as time went on we would talk M on the phone and i wod feel so much better. I will miss out talks. Msy you rest easy and live with no more pain.. you and chuckie are together for eternity. The strongest bond forever

  6. Marie had such a beautiful soul and was a shining light in this world. I worked with her for many years at the USPS REC and at the USPS call center and she was always making us smile and laugh. Her humor was contagious and she always had something positive to say to brighten even the worst days. I loved working with her for many many years and she will be missed dearly.

  7. Marie was one of my mom’s best and longest friends. They worked together at the REC in Ft Wayne and then we all moved to Kansas together. We quickly became family and shared most holidays together. I know that they, along with Chuck, are up in heaven, drinking punch, playing Pokeno, and laughing until the tears come streaming down their faces. If you’ve never heard the three of them laugh together, you’re truly missing out. It was the most precious sound. I am forever blessed to have had Marie and Chuck in my life! My family is missing a big piece of it right now. We love you Marie. We are always here for you Shaun, Stephen, and Caitie.
