Marilyn Sue Cressler

Sue Cressler, 86, died September 28, 2026.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Lucille Watts; husband Edward Payson Cressler, III; son, Allen Cressler; sister, Helen Ann Riley; and brother, Gary Wayne Watts. She is survived by her sons, James (Brandee) Cressler, Jon (Kimberly) Cressler; grandchildren Tanner Ball, Braden Ball, Logan Cressler, and Caden Cressler..

Sue was a truly special woman who brought warmth, humor, and a wonderfully unique spirit to the lives of those around her. She loved traveling the world with her husband, Ed, collecting spoons from the places they explored together. As a young mother, she enjoyed staying active through aerobics and local running events. Above all, she loved her family—her sons, James and Jon, their wives, and her grandchildren—and she treasured her many friends. Sue had a dry sense of humor, a wry smile, and a familiar wink that could say more than words. She loved—and sometimes loved to hate—hearing stories about her boys, and always had a soft spot for their friends. She will be remembered for her wit, her individuality, and the love she gave so freely.
