Mary Marquardt

Mary Marquardt, 72, died Thursday, May 28, 2026, peacefully with caregivers at her bedside. Mary was cared for by staff members at Azria and Wheat State Manor for several years. Mary was also cared for by Country Care Hospice from Harper, Kansas.

Viewing will be from 10 am – 8 pm, Monday June 1, 2026, and Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Graveside Service will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Maple Grove Cemetery. Her caregivers will be invited to honor her and share their memories at the graveside service, or by visiting her at Downing & Lahey and sharing their memories in her register book.

Mary grew up in the Methodist church in Wichita, Kansas.

Mary is preceded in death by her father and mother William Frederick and Patricia Esther Marquardt; and brother, William “Bill” Howard Marquardt.
