Mary P. Diaz, 99, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Viewing, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., Sunday, June 20 and 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 21; Rosary, 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 21, all at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed life and being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelio and Magdalena Soliz; husband, Manuel Diaz, and grandson, Jermaine Diaz. Survivors: children, Gerald, Donald, Darryl, James (Roberta), Eddie (Tracy) and Annette (Rickey) Oberlechner all of Wichita, Ralph Diaz of Manhattan; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members.

Aunt Mary was an amazing woman. She loved her kids and all her family unconditionally. She was always so happy and smiling no matter what. Her faith in God was amazing. She will be dearly missed. May she rest in paradise until we meet again. Love you Aunt Mary forever.
