Michaela G. Luethye

January 13, 1954 ~ October 25, 2018
Michaela G. Luethye, passed away into perfect peace on Thursday October 25, 2018 at the age of 64, preceded in death by her beloved husband and soulmate, Mike. Michaela was loving mother of Aimee (Klaus) of Chicago, IL and Nienborg, Germany, Jason of Austin, TX, and Brandon of Cullowhee, NC; treasured Grammy to Sebastian, Christo, and Amelia; a cherished sister and aunt, and a true-blue friend to so many. She was passionate about her family including her four-legged loves Pumpkin and Laurie and about utilizing her many gifts and resources to make the world a better and brighter place. Whether she was hunting for school supplies for the Wichita Children’s Home or sharing her enthusiasm for Doc’s Friends, Michaela believed in her community and was committed to serving it. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wichita State University in 2004. Michaela retired from Cessna Aircraft in 2013 as Manager Pre-Owned Sales. Her legacy is one of friendship, love, and joy. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 30, 2018; Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 31, 2018, both at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Memorials have been established with: Wichita Childrens Home, 7271 E. 37th St. N., Wichita, KS 67226; Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
Such a special person and good friend! I will miss her greatly!!
Michaela helped so many people with their career and dealing with the issues in their lives. Always giving and caring to everyone. We are all better for having been touched by Michaela.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Michaela. Although we moved out of state several years ago we kept in touch.
Words cannot express how shocked we are at her passing. Rest In Peace my friend. Give Mike a big hug for us.
Michaela was a wonderful person with a great heart and love for animals. I always enjoyed seeing her, and talking about her family, flying, and how we could make the world a better place. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
I knew Michaela through Bookclub. I was only a member for only a short time, and treasure having known her. I thought there was time to become great friends. Loving thoughts to the kids and grandkids.
I knew Michaela from her career within the aviation industry. She was always a pleasure to work with and passionate about flying. Michaela also had a great love for animals. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am to lose my dear friend and mentor. She is one of the most kind and selfless people I know – and will be sorely missed.
We have lost a very special person.
I remember meeting her at our Auchterlonie family reunion in Wichita, KS in 1989, I believe it was. It would have been wonderful to have known her better and longer. Her Mother was my first cousin and we corresponded at Christmas time until she had such difficulty writing due to arthritis in her hands! Love and prayers to her

I saw Michaela daily, walking Pumpkin. We had many visits while our fury babies enjoyed each other. I will miss her smile and friendly waves. Heartfelt sympathy to Aimee and family.
Michaela and I became friends in the 70s when we worked at Cessnas Training Academy. I have many fond memories. My sympathies to her loving family.
Michaela was a wonderful lady. I enjoyed working with her at Cessna. Praying Gods love and comfort on the family.
Michaela was a true friend of B-29 Doc. Her commitment to our organization and her love for aviation was an inspiration to our team throughout the restoration project. Her contagious smile will missed but we are truly grateful for all that she has contributed for our mission and legacy.
I met Michaela this summer when her grandkids were here. Ive never seen a more loving grandmother than she was. She really left an impression on me, and I cant believe she is gone. Your family will be in my prayers. I belong to Docs friends and she will be missed.
Michaela was truly a gem and always a pleasure to be around. She was a wonderful person, friend and mentor. We will always remember her fondly.

Michaela was dear friend that I admired so very much for her servant heart and giving smile. I will miss greatly our chats about communication and marketing, and about the community we both loved so much. For those of who knew her, our lives are were changed for the better. And for those organizations in which she served, she will be greatly missed.
My husband and I both worked with Michaela at Cessna and she was a joy to work with.
I work with her in the 80s and she was a great friend and comfort to me. She was always their for a friend. She will be deeply missed.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Our son, Scott, worked with Michaela at Cessna for years. Bill has a special memory of being in the Denver airport and having Michaela recognize him and greet him with a big hug and a little family reunion! She was so friendly and a very special lady! Were in Bismark, ND this week and unable to attend but are with you all in spirit and send all our love and prayers.
God Speed Michaela, you are now back with Mike in Heaven. I enjoyed working with you all of those years at Cessna and will miss you. Wichita will be a different place without you. My condolences to the family. You were a Special Lady. Rest In Peace.
