  3. As Jay would refer to you, ‘girls’, Jay was very proud of you. I have heard his love for you in his everyday conversations many times. I want you to know he was a part of my life for a short time but I will always have him in my thoughts. I only wish I had been more available when he needed a shoulder to lean on. Phil

  4. Sorry to hear about Jay. I hired Jay at Colby Kansas and he was a good hand. Enjoyed working with him.You have our sincere condolences.

  6. My name is Susan Russelburg and I’m a measurement analyst at the Southern Star headquarters in Owensboro. Your dad was one of the technicians assigned to me. He taught me much about my job and his and was not only a fun co-worker, but became a very good friend as well. I understand all too well about his onery streak!! But that is one of the reasons he was so much fun. We had many serious talks, also. And I know he loved all you girls and his grandkids with a passion. I will miss him so much, but not as much as you all, I know. Let’s remember the good times with Jay. My prayers are with your whole family.

  7. I worked with Jay at the Cities Service Gas Co. Levant station north of colby, ks. back in the 80s. Great guy to work with, fixed my little car a time or two. Did some hunting and ate Rocky Mtn Oysters together, he even tried to teach me how to dip snuff. He later determined that I was unteachable. So sorry for your loss, he will be missed.
