Miller, Olive E. (Dowell) Quiring, 81, retired business woman, died Thursday June 21, 2007. No service. Mrs. Miller was the former owner of Quiring Monument Company, Quiring Old Mission Mortuary and Cemetery, Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta, Hillside Funeral Home, and the Douglass Tribune. She was a former member of the Kansas Society for Crippled Children, and served on the board of the National Society for Crippled Children. She was also a past Sedgwick County chairwoman of the Kansas spina bifida organization. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest G. Dowell (1973), and Opal Mae (Patterson) Dowell (1987); husbands, William Quiring (1962), and Dr. Clyde Miller (1983); half-sisters, Dolores H. Powell (2006), and Etta Mae Johnson (1995). She is survived by a sister, Alice M. Hoskinson, of Seattle, WA; son, Jerry Quiring, of Wichita; two grandsons; eleven nieces and nephews. A memorial has been established with The Wichita Childrens Home, 810 North Holyoke, Wichita, Kansas, 67208. No Service
