Orville "Gene" Brobst

Orville "Gene" Brobst, 84, retired supply chain manager, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 pm, Monday, October 21, 2024, at Eberly Farm, 13111 West 21st Street North, Wichita, KS.
Gene graduated from West High School in 1957. He worked for Beech Aircraft for 38 years along with Safeway during the same time frame. Gene then worked for CE Machine for 15 years. Gene and Carol were married for nearly 66 years. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, camping and being outdoors. Gene also enjoyed his time at sporting events for the grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Franklin and Hester Deloris Brobst. Survived by his wife, Carol Brobst; daughters, Melody (Scott) Teague, Vicki Brobst, Valerie (Jeff) Kretchmar; grandchildren, Kendall (Katie) Pulliam, Brittany (Josh) McCloskey, Dustin Brobst, Baylee (Bryce) Loesing, Cody (Taylor) Kretchmar, Jenna Teague; step-grandchildren, Casey (Kyle) Davis, Randall (Kristin) Teague; great-grandchildren, Lila, Savvy, Theo; sisters, Loretta Monroe, and Shirley (Jim) Young. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
