Kettler, Patricia E., 76, retired Sedgwick County Registrar of Deeds, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Service 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 5, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Patricia worked in the Sedgwick County Register of Deeds office for 24 years and was elected and served 12 years as the Registrar of Deeds. She was also an active member of the Business and Professional Womens Club. Survivors: husband, Del Kettler; sons, Chris Kettler of Wichita and Von Kettler of Coronado, CA. A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society, 435 S. Broadway, S-100, Wichita, KS, 67202

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Kettler only briefly, but it was long enough to see her smile light up the room. She’s had a rough journey the last year or so and now she’s home-free. God Bless her and her family in this transition. It’s always worse for those left behind… but we will see that bright smile one day in the future.
