Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Aunt Betty, Terry, Lori, Tim, Bill, and Families, We really got to know Uncle Pat when Rich’s Dad got ill. Betty and Pat came to visit the summer before he died and then stayed with us during the funeral. We enjoyed his witt and his no-nonesense attitude. We loved teasing him about the sports bets he made. (Better root for the other team! Pat bet on this one!) We also loved teasing him about always going back to work after he retired. We know he was ill and was not able to do the things that he was used to doing. For that, we are grateful that he doesn’t have struggle with his breathing now. With his faith, we know that we will see him again. Until then, we have our memories of him to keep. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts, prayers, and love go out to you at this time. We are so sorry for your loss.

  2. Betty & family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. Pat will be missed by everyone who knew him. Pat along with Betty and the family are in so many of my childhood memories. We were always so excited to have the Donovan’s visit. Pat was a fun loving guy and a good friend to many people. His parting will leave a void in your lives, but just remember to fill it with your many joyful memories. May God Bless! Love, Sue & Kelly Madden & family

  3. I met Pat when he began coming to the West Wichita Y. I looked forward to seeing Pat when I worked out and I enjoyed his humor and his direct manner of speaking. He was a no nonsense man with the conviction of speaking his mind. The courageous way he faced his declining health was remarkable. Fond memories of Pat will be with me for years to come.

  4. Dear Betty, Was visiting my daughter in Nebraska City and she saw the notice of Pat’s death online in the paper. Am so sorry for your loss. I have a lot of good memeories from days gone by. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Pauline (Duffy) Bauer

  5. Terry, Karen and family, We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We always enjoyed the stories of you, Terry and your dad at the tire store, baseball game, etc. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. It was a pleasure to have met your dad.

  6. Prayers to all the Donovan clan as you celebrate the life of Pat and honor is passing. He was a good man and I know you all have many fond memories to help you through this time. God Bless.

  7. Dear Betty and kids, Most of my earliest memories include Pat and his wild stories. He was probably the one person in the world who could always get a laugh out of my Dad, no easy task. I know he’s better off where he is, but I don’t think we are without him.

  8. So very sorry for the loss of your beloved Pat—-he was a fun guy—we always enjoyed his sales calls—you never knew just what the conversation was going to be—usually golf, though. He will be greatly missed by all.

  9. We’re thinking about all of you. Bill, Terry, Tim, you guys have been a big part of my upbringing and your dad was a GREAT guy! I’m trying to change a work travel schedule but if I can’t, I’ll be thinking of you on Friday. Bart, Jan, Brett, Steve, and Kristen Hornung

  10. We were blessed to have crossed paths with your husband, father and grandfather. Please know that we are thinking of you and hope that memories of laughter and smiles bring you comfort.

  11. Dear Family: Pat was a wonderful person and I was blessed to have called him my friend. He was there for me when I lost my Dad, and I will never forget his kindness. I know it’s hard for you to focus on anything right now except loss and grief, but in time, you’ll be able to look back on a lifetime of sweet memories you have shared. I feel your loss and pain, and would like to extend my heart felt sympathy to all. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Respectfully: Shirley Bailey
