Gluckman, Phyllis Louise, 88, retired owner of Gluckmans Department Store in Ada, OK, died Sunday, February 5, 2006. A private memorial service will be held. Preceded in death by her husband, William. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Robert McCracken of Wichita; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Sarah and David Yost of Wichita; great-granddaughter, Jordan Yost; nephews and spouses, James E. and Margaret York of Ft. Worth, TX and Stuart and Lan Gluckman of Sacramento, CA; niece, Sandra Gluckman of Santa Monica, CA; several great-nieces and nephews. I was saddened to read of the passing of Phyllis Gluckman. Thinking of her brings back fond memories from my childhood on to my business career. I can recall as a child being in the home of Mom & Pa Gluckman during a holiday. And during my early business career always seeing and visiting with Bill. Though they left Ada years ago I still regarded them both as close friends. The Gluckman family is a vital part of the retail history of Ada. Please extend my sympathy to Jenny, Sandy, & Stuart.
