Robert J. Morgan

Robert J. Morgan, 91, died Saturday, May 4, 2013. He was born March 8, 1922 in Sioux City Iowa to Harry K. and Minnie (Hohenstein) Morgan. He graduated from high school in Sioux City and joined the US Marines, fighting in WWII and the Korean War. He then joined the US Air Force, from which he retired after 20 years of service. He married Rosella I. Foister in 1947. She preceded him in death. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, at Resthaven Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Robert A. Morgan of San Jose CA; two daughters, Carmen R. Duroni of Independence, KS and Jan C. Morgan of Wichita, KS; one brother, Richard (Ione) Morgan of Sioux City, IA; grandchildren, Paul Duroni and Andrea (Jed) Hetlinger; and six great-grandchildren. Downing and Lahey West Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
