  1. My deepest sympathy to Ellen, Alan, Julia and all other family members. I will miss her wonderful letters and caring phone calls. Rose was a true, long-time friend indeed, and I’m so saddened to hear of her passing. I’d like to extend my apology for not getting to the mortuary to see you and say a final good-bye to her, but it wasn’t until late Sunday afternoon that my mother called me as she had just read it in the paper. I believe the last time we spoke was when she called me last Aug. or Sept. I had started back teaching in the library, and she so wanted us to try to find time to meet before leaving for Arizona. She sent me a Christmas card this past December, and with it a note updating me on what was going on in her life…..she was so good to keep in touch, and I appreciated her interest in me and her kindness so very much. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers, and she will remain in my heart always. Becky McCune – 212 Overlook Drive, Derby,KS 67037 (316-788-4941/316-619-1572). Frances McCune is also sending her thoughts and prayers, as well.
