Born on August 9, 1962, in Stratton, Nebraska, Shelly lived a fulfilling life marked by her commitment to giving and faith. She passed away peacefully at the age of 64 in her long-time home of Wichita, Kansas.

Shelly graduated from Wichita High School East and dedicated many years to various roles, including working as a Bakery Manager & Pharmacy Tech at Dillons, a Surgical Specialist Account Specialist/Office Manager, and an Ascension Account Specialist. Her career was characterized by her loving and service-oriented nature.

On May 11, 1985, Shelly married her beloved husband, Tim Mercer, and together they shared 41 years of deep love and devotion. Shelly was a proud mother to her children, Nicole (Chris) Carney and Matthew (Rachel) Mercer. Her life was further blessed with the joy of her grandchildren, Dax (10), Lawrence (9), Sawyer (8), Madelynn (8), Keegan (6), and Millie (3).

Her faith was central to her existence, guiding her in serving others and living a life filled with purpose and grace. Shelly found delight in spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, and making cherished memories at Table Rock Lake.

She leaves behind her loving husband, children, grandchildren, her mother Barbara, brother Carl, and her dear sister Karen. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl E. Christensen.
