Shirley K. Bird
Bird, Shirley K., 56, accounts payable and superuser for Savista-FSC, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005. Visitation 2:00 ~ 9:00 P.M., Thursday and service 10:00 A.M., Friday, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Shirley liked gardening and peaceful moments outdoors in the mornings. Preceded in death by parents, Herman and Maxine Bird and brother, Gary Bird. Survivors: husband, Monty Fowler; sons, Scott Pierpoint and Todd Pierpoint, both of Wichita; brother, Raymond Bird of Augusta, KS; sisters, Phyllis Bird and Geneva Collins, both of Andover, KS and Donna Simon of Augusta, KS; grandson, Todd Herrmann. A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS, 66601-9865.
Visitation 2:00 ~ 9:00 P.M., Thursday, Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

Dear Todd and Scott, I am stunned and saddened to learn of the loss of your mom. I’ll always remember how much Shirley helped me while I was at FSC. I was fortunate enough to work with her closely throughout my tenure there. She was always so patient and accommodating, and never seemed to mind explaining things to me a hundred times, like she always had to do! It was such a blessing any time one of my clients was assigned to Shirley, because I knew they would be well cared for and handled correctly. Now I know where you both get that helpful, can-do attitude! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Katie Partridge
