Velma Louise Robinson

Velma Louise Robinson passed away on September 26, 2024, surrounded with family at her side. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Isaac and Cecil Moore; husband, of 67 years Eldon; son, Loren; siblings, Dortha Gillon, Paul Moore and Barbara Hamilton. She is survived by her daughter, Gina (Bob) Richardson of Wichita; daughter-in-law, Glenda Robinson of Nashville TN; grandchildren, Loren (Tameria) Robinson, Shaun (Brandi) Robinson, Ashley Richardson (Ashley Tennant) and Aidrenne (Nick) Basgall; brother-in-law, Eddie Hamilton; and seven great grandchildren. Velma loved and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was easy to talk with and her stories were wonderful, even if a bit of embellishment was added to “make it a little better.” She loved to camp, cook, fish, hunt and tend to her flowers. At 96 her family loved to be around her because of the laughter, kindness and genuine joy she brought into any room. Her legacy has left a stamp on each of our hearts, and she will be deeply missed. A Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, with Funeral Services at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 3, 2024, both at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
