Wallace E. Mac Maclaskey

Maclaskey, Wallace E. “Mac”, 81, retired stockbroker for A. G. Edwards, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, January 20, 2005. Memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, East Heights United Methodist Church, where “Mac” was a long-time member, and served as President of the Cross Triad Sunday School class. He was also a member of the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge #303, Scottish Rite, Midian Shrine and High 12. “Mac”, a graduate of Emporia State University, served as a Marine Corp Officer and fighter pilot during World War II. “Mac” was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who is survived by: his wife, Dorothy; sons, Steve Maclaskey of Lake Harmony, PA, Dave Maclaskey and wife, Jill of LaQuinta, CA and Dennis Whittington of Surprise, AZ; daughters, Karen and husband, Patrick ONeill of Fort Worth, TX, Vivian Maclaskey of LaQuinta, CA and Beverly and husband, Fred Wendt of Wichita; sister, Elaine Preston of Colby, KS; grandchildren, Katie Maclaskey, Shea ONeill, Sean ONeill, Lt. R. Casey ONeill, Kendall Wendt, Cheri Litzenberger, Susan Kennedy, Dana Derr and eight great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Olive W Garvey Center for Healing Arts, 3100 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS, 67219 and East Heights United Methodist Church, 4407 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67218. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
